LONDON CHARITY PHOTOGRAPHER + VIDEOGRAPHER

Visual storytelling that drives campaigns forward

Every project is an opportunity to tell a compelling story. Whether capturing the generosity of altruistic kidney donors for Kidney Transplant UK, documenting the resilience of Holocaust survivors for The Jewish Museum, or shaping the visual brand of National Prison Radio’s first ever Podcast, my creative work is designed to evoke emotion and inspire positive action.

Telling Stories That Inspire Action

I’m Jon Holloway, a professional photographer with over 15 years’ experience working across the UK and internationally. I specialise in supporting charities, non-profits, and organisations with social impact at their heart. Whether through photography or video content, my work goes beyond simply creating striking images – it’s about telling powerful stories, amplifying voices, and helping charities connect with the audiences who matter most.

In a sector where charities often struggle to stand out in what can feel like a sea of sameness, I aim to offer a distinctive and meaningful approach. In collaboration with charitable partners, I ensure that all creative content is rooted in ethical storytelling, with a commitment to respecting the dignity and voices of everyone involved. With knowledge of the Oxfam Global Ethical Guidelines, I prioritise informed consent, work to avoid harmful stereotypes, and ensure that people are represented with the dignity they deserve. Over the years, I’ve worked with grassroots community groups, household-name charities, designers, PR teams, and creative agencies. I am adaptable and collaborative: I follow design briefs carefully but am equally confident leading on creative direction when needed. My portfolio spans portraits, events, campaign shoots, editorial commissions, and long-form project documentation, and I bring warmth, empathy, and authenticity to every shoot.

I also believe in building capacity within the organisations I work with. That’s why, beyond creating content, I offer training and guidance to help your team feel confident telling your own stories, ensuring your organisation can continue to create authentic and effective content long after our work together.

When a campaign requires it, I work with a trusted network of freelance creatives to bring together the right team — ensuring your project doesn’t just look good, but has the strongest possible impact across every platform. My goal is to help organisations strengthen their brand, raise awareness, and inspire meaningful action.

Whatever the scale of your project – from a single day’s shoot to an ongoing campaign – I look forward to providing a tailored, ethical, and impactful approach to meet your needs.
